University of Kansas, Lawrence
Texas A&M University, College Station A sample of 79 individuals participated in the present study to evaluate the test score stability (8-week test-retest interval) and construct validity of the scores of the Adult Manifest Anxiety Scale-College Version, a new measure used to assess anxiety in college students, for application to graduate-level students. Results of the study indicated for a sample of graduate students that the AMAS-C test scores have adequate to good temporal stability (rs = .70 to .87). Evidence supporting the construct validity of the AMAS-C test scores was found. Validity coefficients ranged from -.67 to .88. Implications of the findings are discussed.
